The patient presented with a severe Class III malocclusion and an anterior open bite. While orthognathic surgery was initially recommended, the patient declined. Consequently, Dr. Min utilized temporary anchorage devices (TADs) to successfully address the malocclusion.
The patient presented with a severe Class III malocclusion and localized maxillary microdontia (small lateral incisors). Although orthognathic surgery was initially proposed as the definitive treatment, the patient elected for a non-surgical approach. Consequently, Dr. Min achieved successful correction of the malocclusion through the use of temporary anchorage devices (TADs) and a custom designed distalization JIG.
The patient, a 12-year-old female, exhibited a severe Class III malocclusion complicated by a progressing skeletal Class III pattern. Dr. Min successfully intercepted and corrected the malocclusion through skeletal anchorage, utilizing TADs to achieve stable results during the patient's active growth phase.
This patient presented with a severe Class III malocclusion (underbite). Given the demands of her profession, traditional orthodontic elastics were not a viable option. To accommodate her needs, Dr. Min utilized Temporary Anchorage Devices (TADs) to achieve precise tooth movement without relying on patient compliance. The result is a beautiful, healthy smile with perfect functional occlusion.
This adult patient had a severe underbite (Class III malocclusion). Since the patient preferred to avoid tooth extractions, Dr. Min used Temporary Anchorage Devices (TADs) to move the entire lower set of teeth back. This approach corrected the underbite and achieved a perfect bite alignment.
This adult patient presented with a unilateral posterior crossbite on the right side. While this condition is typically managed with tooth-borne appliances (e.g., Hyrax expanders) in younger patients, this individual's skeletal maturity necessitated a different approach. Dr. Min successfully corrected the malocclusion using an implant supported Maxillary Skeletal Expander (MSE). In addition to resolving the crossbite, the treatment also yielded the secondary benefit of a widened smile arc and improved facial harmony.
These three adult patients all had an anterior open bite โ a condition where the front teeth don't meet โ often stemming from childhood habits like thumb sucking. After receiving care from Dr. Min, every patient achieved a perfectly aligned bite.
For a perfectly aligned smile, it is occasionally necessary to create space by removing specific teeth. These three patients had their first premolars extracted as part of their customized plan by Dr. Min. Today, they enjoy perfectly aligned teeth with no visible gaps from the extractions.
After receiving orthodontic treatment elsewhere, this adult patient was dissatisfied with her upper dental midline, which was skewed to the right of her facial midline. Clinical examination also revealed a deep overbite and a Class II malocclusion on the left side. To address these concerns, Dr. Min utilized Temporary Anchorage Devices (TADs) to successfully align the midline and correct the malocclusion. The patient is now thrilled with her beautiful, balanced smile.
This adult case featured severe upper crowding and a Class II bite on the left side. By using a TAD (Temporary Anchorage Device), Dr. Min was able to correct the malocclusion efficiently without requiring the patient to wear rubber bands. This 'compliance-free' method ensured a comfortable treatment journey and a flawless final smile.
In this case, Dr. Min used Invisalign clear aligners to help an adult patient correct a Class II malocclusion on her left side. By using a Temporary Anchorage Device (TAD), Dr. Min was able to gently move the upper left back teeth into their proper positions. The result is a healthy, functional bite with ideal alignment that the patient can truly be proud of!
Originally treated by a different provider, this patient sought Dr. Min's expertise to correct a severe upper midline deviation caused by a missing upper left lateral incisor. After replacing her existing braces, Dr. Min utilized a temporary anchorage device (TAD) to distalize the upper right dentition by 5mm. This intervention successfully achieved perfect midline alignment and an ideal occlusal relationship on her right side.
A perfect smile often requires more than just standard braces. Dr. Min loves the art of personalizing dental appliances, utilizing his passion for math and physics to tailor treatment to each patient. His goal is to provide meticulous, customized care that brings out the very best in every smile.
